5 Claims

Claim of Fact:
The issue of domestic violence is a topic that affects 3.3 million children a year and about 5 million women and men aswell every year. These are horrendous statistics that unfortunately our society has to face in a daily basis.

Claim of Defenition:
Out of the 3.3 million children affected, about 75% of them are psychologically abused while the other 25% are both psychologically and physically abused everyday. Depending on the way the reader defines domestic violence, would be what determines how big the number of abused children really is. If physical abuse is all that matters to the reader, than the 3.3 million will decrease dramatically but it will still be an alarming number.

Claim of Cause:
Usually many children that end up being physically abused happens after they try to defend the parent that is being the victim at the time. This reaction causes the abuser to take out the rest of his anger in the most innocent person around.

Claim of Value:
To me, the issue of domestic violence is very important because I was at some point in my life a witness of domestic abuse done to my mom by my dad. Even though he never laid a hand on me to hurt me, The plain sight of seeing my mom suffer was the worst experience for me ever.

Claim of Policy:
All victims of domestic abuse should seek the legal help available out there for them. Police will ensure that the abuser gets take care of, and lawyers can ensure you are safe and compensated for the horrible times that the victim has had.

Response to Ethos, Pathos, and Logos.

I still have not received any comments regarding my ethos, pathos and logos but I trully beleive that maybe I could have used a bit more logos in my wrtting. Throughout my writting, I talk alot about how the issue of domestic violence can affect the reader emothionally and I show credibility through statistics, but I use very few logos. If anyone has any other info for me regarding my ethos, pathos, or logos please advice.

Children affected by Domestic abuse.(Ethos,Pathos,Logos)

Every year about 3.3 million children witness violence in their own homes. Out of those 3.3 million children, 75% of then end up being physically hurt by the abuser. The problem with these statistics is that the majority of these kids will end up traumatized and also the majority of them will end up becoming the abuser or a victim again in their future relationship. If the statistics are not scary enough, only about10% of the victims will seek professional help or help from the proper authorities creating the though in the children that violence is perfectly ok. People should not allow any kid to witness such violence at home, although there is an enormous amount of violence in the streets, nothing traumatizes a kid as much as them witnessing their loved ones being affected by it. Many might have children now or will have children in the future and I'm sure non of you will want your children to suffer any king of emotional or physical trauma from their own parents.
